Gilda Belmonte-Priebe, CPA, CIA, CFE, CGMA is a Partner at Adelfia LLC, a Chicago based Filipino and women-owned Certified Public Accounting firm. Gilda has over 20 years of financial audit, single audit, and compliance examination experience. Prior to joining Adelfia LLC, she worked for E. C. Ortiz & Co. in Chicago in November 2001, and became a partner in January 2007. Prior to that, she had six years of combined audit experience as an assistant manager at a PWC-Singapore and as a senior auditor at SyCip, Gorres, Velayo & Co. (Manila, Philippines) (member firm of Ernst & Young Global). Gilda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Aquinas University of Legazpi in the Philippines (now University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi) with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. She is a Certified Public Accountant both in USA (Illinois and California) and the Philippines, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a Certified Global Management Accountant. Gilda is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and Illinois CPA Society. She is a peer reviewer under the AICPA Peer Review Program and currently a member of the Illinois CPA Society Peer Review Committee. She has extensive knowledge of State and local government agencies, universities, manufacturing, real estate, non-profits, privately held companies, and Medicaid Integrity programs having audit engagements performed on these entities. She also performed agreed-upon procedures, peer reviews, and other operational audits.
