Santillan is currently an Audit Manager for the National Credit Union Practice of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. She has over 10 years of cumulative experience in public accounting and in private industry practice. Prior to joining McGladrey & Pullen, she was the Manager for SEC Financial Reporting of IndyMac Bank. Previously, Tonette was an Audit Supervisor with Vasquez & Company and an experienced senior associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Los Angeles. She was also previously the Assistant Vice President for Financial Accounting, Management Accounting & Treasury at CMG of Australia. She also worked as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manila, Philippines. She graduated cum laude from Divine Word College of Legazpi and received her MBA from De La Salle University Graduate School of Business in the Philippines. She is a Certified Public Accountant in California and in the Philippines. She is Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the States of California, Michigan, Florida, and the Philippines. She is the Audit Chair of St. John Well Child and Family Center. Her affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). Benel received her Bachelor of Science, Major in Accounting from De La Salle University and high school diploma from St. Agnes Academy. Her recognition includes as 2011 award recipient of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women given by the Filipina Women’s Network; 2012 Women Making A Difference Nominee given by Los Angeles Business Journal; and 100 Outstanding Agnesians Awardee given by St. Agnes Academy during its 2012 Centennial Celebration.
